Core Trainee (CT3) in General Surgery
Applications are invited for a 1-year post(s) at CT3 level in General Surgery starting in August 2017. These posts are designed for trainees aiming to submit a successful application at ST3 level for higher surgical training.
You will spend six months based at the Churchill Hospital with attachments in two out of Colorectal Surgery, UGI/HPB surgery or transplant surgery getting exposure to complex procedures in a tertiary hospital.
You will also spend six months based at the John Radcliffe site on the emergency service where your timetable will include dedicated weeks of emergency operating as well as dedicated weeks of elective operating at the Horton Hospital in Banbury where you will get training in day-case surgery one on one with a consultant. The night-time commitment is 1 in 10 at the Churchill Hospital and 1 in 8 at the John Radcliffe.
