This post will be a fixed term contract for 1 year in the first instance.
This is a full-time post.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, internationally-known diabetes research group. The role of this post is conduct research into the pathophysiology of type 2 diabetes, with particular focus on the impact of ethnicity on metabolic dysregulation and novel treatments for obesity and type 2 diabetes. The successful candidate will have MRCP or equivalent, be on the GMC register and have evidence of training in the specialty of diabetes and internal medicine. Some experience of research and/or academic interest is desirable. The post should allow development of a programme suitable for inclusion in a higher research degree. The post-holder will work closely with the diabetes research team and training in necessary investigative procedures will be available.
The selection process will include an initial application followed by an interview.
Interviews are scheduled to be held in May 2017.
