Basic Salary £32,478 - £40,491 per annum
(dependent upon experience) plus additional
out of hours payments, as appropriate.

Right in the heart of the city, Leeds General Infirmary (LGI) has been saving lives for nearly 250 years. It brings together many of the country’s leading experts in caring for patients with complex surgical conditions and major trauma.
Following a successful first round of recruitment, we are delighted to be able to offer further posts to join us at the Leeds General Infirmary.
The posts are offered on a full time basis for a period of two years commencing August 2017. The 2 year rotation will comprise four 6 month placements, split between Trauma & Orthopaedics, Elective Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery and the Major Trauma Centre.
All these specialties combine to provide one of the largest Major Trauma Centres in the UK as well as wide ranging internationally recognised acute and elective sub-specialty services.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to gain considerable experience in the inpatient and outpatient management of acute, traumatic and elective surgical conditions with ward, clinic and operating theatre exposure and training.
Educational support for professional development will be provided. Each individual will have named Clinical and Educational Supervisors as well as the opportunity for study leave. There will be an educational allowance to put toward course fees and travel. A regular appraisal process will be in place.
These posts will suit applicants who have MBChB or equivalent qualification and wish to pursue a career in Surgery. These posts do not hold a National Training Number. Applications are welcomed from overseas candidates who require visa sponsorship.
