Applications are invited for a Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine.
This is a replacement post for a retiring consultant. It is a whole time (10 PA) Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine at the Royal Brompton Hospital. For suitably qualified candidates, an approach will be made to National Heart and Lung Institute, a Division of Imperial College School of Medicine for the conferment of an honorary academic title.
This is a general post in paediatric respiratory medicine (PRM). The appointee will provide clinical services for paediatric respiratory patients in accordance with clinical and legal requirements and in keeping with the international role of the Trust.
The appointee will have a broad expertise in PRM, and there are op-portunities to develop further subspecialisation, depending on the candidate’s clinical experience and research interest. However it is expected that the person will have extensive experience in cystic fibrosis, chronic suppurative lung disease, difficult asthma, rare lung diseases, empyema, and flexible bronchoscopy. The candidate should have completed national grid specialist respiratory training or its equivalent.
