Executive Medical Director: East Yorkshire

Attractive – dependent upon candidate

4 days per week (+ 1 day clinical practice)

Humber is really going places! From the bustling city of Hull, that has seen huge investment in recent years in preparation for its current reign as the UK City of Culture, to thriving market towns, traditional seaside towns and Yorkshire villages surrounded by rolling countryside.

We’ve also been going through exciting change and the pace continues.  We’ve reshaped the organisation, introducing a new distributed leadership model and a refreshed focus on quality, clinical governance and safety. We now want an innovative resourceful, influential Executive Medical Director to join our strong and cohesive Executive Team and Board.

We provide a diverse range of community services (including therapies), community and inpatient mental health services, learning disability services, healthy lifestyle support and addictions services and a growing number of primary care services in Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire and the Whitby area, employing c2,500 staff across over 70 sites. As a Teaching Trust, we work closely with our major academic partners, nurturing a workforce of tomorrow’s health professionals.

Our people are some of the very best – we need to lead them effectively and help them achieve safe, high quality care, despite testing financial times. This is a significant opportunity to play a key leadership role in a large, complex, vibrant and exciting Foundation Trust.

You’ll be instrumental not only in driving forward the agendas on patient safety, quality and research and development across the Trust, but will also make a major contribution across the health system in shaping the configuration of services, working collaboratively with  partners within the Humber, Coast and Vale STP. We want you to help lead us on our journey to ‘outstanding’.
