Consultant Ophthalmologist with an interest in Cornea and Anterior Segment
Applications are invited for the appointment of a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a specialist interest in Cornea and Anterior segment conditions to join a team of 11 consultants, two associate specialists, three Trust grade doctors and six trainees.
The outpatient department is equipped with Zeiss Imaging with networked software, 2 OCT scanners, Argon, Yag, cyclodiode, SLT lasers and imminently a multispot laser. There is a separate eye emergency department (run as an Acute Referral Clinic), an orthoptic department with children’s waiting room, clean room for intravitreal injection and a minor operations room for local anaesthesia. There is also a daycase, 3-bedded paediatric and 16-bedded inpatient ward and a surgical unit with three dedicated eye theatres equipped with state of the art Alcon phacoemulsification machines.
