Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon
Applications are invited for this replacement appointment post to the Hampshire Hospital Foundation Trust. The post is identified as an important part of the Trust’s strategy to remain a preferred provider to our local population across a wide range of local hospital and community services.
The appointed will be expected to continue to contribute to the existing successful track record of the HHFT breast unit which has an enviable reputation for high quality patient care, innovation in service delivery and true MDT working. In addition, our Trust has a national reputation for its Oncoplastic work and the successful candidate would be expected to contribute to audit, research and innovative activities to enhance the reputation of the HHFT breast unit as a leader in breast surgery.
Candidates would need to be of high academic caliber and have good communication skills. A candidate who could demonstrate an additional interest in endocrine or skin cancer surgery would be preferred.
The successful candidate may wish to take on a medical tutor role as part of the BM4 graduate entry programme.
Applicants should be on the GMC Specialist Register in General Surgery (Breast) or be within 3 months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT at the time of the interview – 27th June 2017.
