GP - Practice Assist
What is Practice Assist?
Practice Assist helps GP practices by providing the additional resource required to deliver the access patients need.
Patients who are managed over the phone receive a complete telephone consultation with a registered GP in the UK. If required, patients will receive a prescription sent directly to a pharmacy of their choice. If referrals or paperwork need to be completed Practice Assist will take care of it.
If an examination is required or they need to see a GP the patient is booked in to see their own GP at the first available opportunity.
Run by Care UK, the UK's largest independent provider of NHS services, we are seeking experienced GPs to work within Practice Assist.
We are seeking GPs to work in a self-employed or bank capacity. The work involves carrying out telephone consultations from patients across the country.
Care UK have been successful in securing a new pilot for NHS England, where, using our existing NHS 111 infrastructure, our call handlers will assess patient calls and if needed be transferred to a GP for telephone consultation.
With competitive hourly pay rates this is an ideal opportunity for you to fit around your existing NHS commitments and earn extra income.
If you are a GP, and would like to learn more about working in this service then please don't hesitate to apply, or to learn more contact David Tinkler, GP Recruiter on firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01189 521814 or click the apply button.
