Salary Range in line with NHS pay scales: £76,001 - £85,514 pa depending on experience

Are you a consultant practicing in the field of palliative medicine? Have you considered the opportunities available as a consultant working in a role that spans hospice, hospital and community?
At Prospect Hospice we care for patients in Swindon and North Wiltshire, with life-limiting illness, providing services within the hospice In-patient unit, the local NHS acute hospital and within patients’ own homes. We are the only dedicated provider of specialist end of life care services within its locality.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute as part of a large Multi-Disciplinary Team, providing specialist care and advice enabling patients to remain in their preferred place of care wherever possible.
Applications are invited for two consultant posts for a total of 14 PAs/week. One post is a replacement post, the other an additional post. There is also the opportunity to apply to be the Lead Consultant.
You will be expected to provide teaching for doctors in training at Prospect Hospice as well as supporting education provision to other healthcare professionals across hospital and community settings.
Staff are encouraged to develop relevant professional skills and expertise. In-house education sessions occur regularly. Study leave and funding is available to attend agreed external educational events.
The successful applicants will join the current medical team of 1 part time Consultant in Palliative Medicine (8PA), 1 Speciality Doctor 0.6 WTE, 1 GP Clinical Assistant 0.2 WTE and 2 GPST1 Doctors 1.6 WTE
