This new post is based in the Global eHealth Unit in the Department of Primary Care and Public Health within the School of Public Health, Imperial College London and is based at the College’s Charing Cross Hospital campus in Hammersmith.

Imperial’s Global eHealth Unit is at the forefront of the introduction and implementation of IT innovation into health care systems.

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer or Reader with an established and well-attested record of high impact research of international stature and the vision, leadership, experience and enthusiasm to build on current strengths in maintaining and developing a leading research presence.

Research and teaching are considered an integral part of the post.  You will play a leading role in the development of research and teaching in eHealth, both within the Department of Primary Care and Public Health as well as across the School, the Faculty and the College.

To excel in this role you must have a further higher degree, PhD or equivalent research experience; have a strong track record of publications, high level of analytical capability and  experience of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. Proven skills in leading, motivating, developing and managing the performance of colleagues; ensuring the effective performance and development of a leading research department are essential for succeeding in this role.

The post will also involve the usual administrative duties associated with a busy academic and research-active environment. You may also be required to undertake other duties, as required by the Head of Department and Head of School.

This is a full time, open ended post. The College is supportive of flexible working.  The Department is happy to discuss the possibility of implementing such arrangements for this post, with suitably qualified people subject to operational arrangements
