The Hospital is set on a plateau overlooking open countryside with a distant view of the sea. It blends state of the art health care technology with elegant design, resulting in a magnificent modern hospital environment in which our health care professional provide high quality services. Our health service reflects the UK and our Doctor’s terms and conditions of service are very similar to those in the UK.

The obstetrics and gynaecology team provides a general service to a geographically isolated community. Deliveries are approximately 1,000 per annum. Special interests supported include minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, urogynaecology, colposcopy, infertility and satellite IVF. Our paediatric colleagues provide neonatal intensive, high dependency and special care for most infants born after 27 weeks. We maintain close links with the Mersey & Cheshire network for high risk maternity cases, feto-maternal medicine and gynaecological oncology. We have an air ambulance service allowing rapid access to the UK mainland for in-utero transfers. The two-tier staffing structure allows excellent opportunity for teaching and training under direct Consultant supervision. Developing our team to be the best they can be is important to us and we actively support your own personal career goals and aspirations.

Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience and have passed Part 1 Membership. The average working week is 48 hours and is a first on call position. Our structure does not currently have junior grade posts so your ability to work at ST3 level would be essential, although we are currently reviewing this structure to improve it for our Doctors and patients.

  • Excellent remuneration based on shift system rota with compensatory days off.
  • n site accommodation at reasonable cost for up to 6 months.
  • Collegial well supported environment with experienced and helpful colleagues.
  • Numerous doctors have successfully completed their MRCOG exam during their stay and have gone on to training posts in the UK.
  • Free parking.

Interested Applicants can apply by clicking on the apply button.

Please note the closing date for applications is 24th April 2017.

If you are interested in applying, we recommend that you contact Mrs Michele Moroney, Lead Obstetrics & Gynaecology Consultant, on 01624 650330 or Dr Prakash Thiagarajan Clinical Director on 01624 650340.
