Applications are invited from Gastroenterology and Hepatology specialty trainees with outstanding potential to develop into a clinical academic leader. This post will provide clinical training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology along with an excellent opportunity to develop a research portfolio.
The post is part of the Scottish Clinical Research Excellence Development Scheme.
Available to candidates who already hold a National Training Number in the relevant specialty. The successful applicant will be expected to transfer to an East of Scotland Deanery NTN, and will hold an honorary clinical appointment as a Specialty Trainee in Gastroenterology and Hepatology on the highly rated east of Scotland training scheme.
The lectureship is for the duration of remaining specialty training, i.e. up to 6 years, and the postholder will spend 20% of their time developing a relevant research programme. Research activities will be based in the University of Dundee’s Division of Molecular and Clinical Medicine at the Ninewells Hospital & Medical School site.
