A Dermatology Consultant (10 sessions) is required to join the St George’s Dermatology team. It is hoped that applicants will have an interest in skin cancer and will develop our second weekly skin cancer screening clinic and transplant skin surveillance clinic.
Tertiary Skin Cancer Services based at St. George’s Hospital provide a high quality and accessible cancer service for the people of South West London, the South West Thames Region and nationally. We offer a Local and a Specialist Skin Multidisciplinary Team, set within a bi-monthly combined Dermatology/ Plastic Surgery/ Radiotherapy Clinic, and weekly Melanoma Clinic. We provide Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy, Isolated Limb infusion, Electrochemotherapy, and a Mohs Micrographic surgical service (commencing 2017). St Georges Hospital is one of the few London Trusts where all specialities are co-located.
The successful applicant will join a team of 13 consultants (8.2 WTE) at St George’s Hospital, including the Queen Mary’s Roehampton site. The Department has always been regarded as clinically very active. Over 40,000 patients are seen with a high new to follow-up ratio.
Applicants should be on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT at the time of the interview.
