About Falsgrave Surgery
Scarborough is a beautiful seaside town on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors with views and outdoor leisure activities popular with surfing, sailing and cycling enthusiasts.
Falsgrave Surgery has a larger than average over 65 year old population. With small pockets of social deprivation and the aged population the chronic disease prevalence for this area is higher than the national average.
We moved into our purpose built premises in November 2004 and operate on three floors with modern consulting rooms, treatment rooms and a minor procedures suite. There is also parking available for some staff in the underground garage.
We have links to the secondary care ICE system for pathology results and make full utilisation of Electronic Prescribing. Many attached services are based within the building so we have excellent communication with district nurses, health visitors and mental health services to name but a few.
The partners are well established and have treated the Scarborough population for many years. One of the partners is a director on the board of Scarborough and Ryedale Clinical Commissioning Group and is currently finalising our accreditation to being a training practice.
We took advantage of NHS England’s pilot to employ Clinical Pharmacists in Primary Care in 2016 and have developed very successful relationships with community and secondary care pharmacists as a result.
Falsgrave Surgery is a member of the Scarborough and Ryedale Clinical Commissioning Group (http://www.scarboroughryedaleccg.nhs.uk/).
Falsgrave Surgery is also a member of a local federation of practices (ECHO Ltd).
